Angels continued...
It's not just our prayers that bring glory to God. We glorify Him when we offer Him the first fruits of our labour. We glorify him when we consecrate ourselves and all that we do to Him-- when we tell Him that we want our families, our work, our services, even our times of relaxation, to honour Him and build His kingdom. We glorify Him when we offer Him our joys and sorrows, our hopes and petitions and needs. Everything that we bring to Him... instead of keeping it to ourselves or seeking answers elsewhere... gives Him glory, for it is proof of our love for Him, our trust in Him and our faith in His promises. Our angels take all of our offerings to the Father and bring His blessings and grace to us in return.(to be continued)

Year of Faith Prayer
(adapted from the second Vatican council Opening Prayer)

We stand before you, Holy Spirit, conscious of our sinfulness,
But aware that we gather in your name.

During this year of Faith, come to us, remain with us,
and enlighten our hearts.
Give us light and strength to know your will,
to make it our own, and to live it in our lives.
Guide us by your wisdom, support us by your power,
for you are God, sharing the Glory of Father and Son.

You desire justice for all: enable us to uphold the rights of others; do not allow us to be misled by ignorance or corrupted by fear or favour. Unite us to yourself in the bond of love
and keep us faithful to all that is true.

As we gather in your name may we temper justice with love,
so that all our decisions may be pleasing to you,
and receive what is promised to good and faithful servants.

You live and reign with the Father and the Son,
one God, forever and ever. Amen

NOTICE – We are again looking for a person to take bookings for the Community Centre. This requires a person to take calls at home or through an answering machine. This is a very important part of the function of the hall. Please call Parish Glebe on Tuesdays 587-2416.
