Intention: For missionaries. Pray that all people will return to the practice of their faith.
Action: At this midpoint of Lent, all who have received the sacrament should go to confession.
Fasting: Sacrifice: Make an effort to say only kind and encouraging words to each other. Fast from criticism.
Almsgiving: Action: Donate old eyeglasses to your local Lion's Club to be recycled to the poor.
Knights of Columbus: Officers will meet on Monday March 12 at 9:30 am. The full 14280 council will meet on Wednesday March 14 at 6:45PM. Both meetings will be held in St. Peters Parish Glebe House. All members urged to attend.
Knights of Columbus Merchandise Bingo will be held on Sunday March 11, 2012 starting at 1:45 at the Tara Lynne Center. There will be lots of great prizes to be won. This is the first bingo put on by the Knights and your support would be greatly appreciated.
St. Patrick's Day Tea & Sale, Sunday March 18, 2012, St. Peter's Lions Hall 2:00pm. Good will offering at the door. Baked goods, great lunch, craft & fudge tables. Tickets on a handmade quilt. Sponsored by St. Peter's Altar Society.(storm date March 25th)

Development & Peace – Share Lent
Every day Development & Peace partners in Asia, Africa & Latin America and the Middle East take concrete action in their communities to help justice and peace grow. In solidarity with these partners we will be having the Share Lent collection on Saturday, March 24 at 7:00PM Mass. This is a change from Good Friday . Envelopes are in seats or you can use the one in your box of envelopes.
Solidarity Meal - We will be having a soup & biscuit supper starting at 5:00 on Saturday, March 24, at the L'Ardoise Community Center. Silver collection. Everyone Welcome

World Day of Prayer: The service written by the women of Malaysia took place in HGA church on Sunday
March 4. We sent $394.00 to the Women's Inter-Church Council of Canada. Thank you to all who attended and all who participated, especially the local clergy.

Mission Prayer
Lord, our God, help us to walk with you on the pathway of the beatitudes
and to live out your mission in today's world.
Bind us to all men and women of our time so that together we may bring
the Good News to the ends of the earth.
Open our hearts and our Christian communities to the needy, the afflicted, the oppressed.
May we radiate the Living Christ and transform our lives in the hope of the Resurrection.
This prayer we make to you who are living God now and forever. Amen.
