The Nativity of St. John the Baptist

Luke 1:57-66,80: Zechariah and Elizabeth were older, and didn't have any children. The angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah to tell him Elizabeth would have a son and that they would name him John. Because Zechariah questioned Gabriel, he was unable to speak until John the Baptist was born.

L'Ardoise Prayer and Faith Sharing Group Glebe House Tuesdays following Mass. Holy Hour in Holy Guardian Angels Church on Fridays 9:30-10:30 . All are Welcome

The annual outdoor Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, Johnstown, Richmond Co., will be held on Sunday, July 8th. Time 2PM. The shrine is behind Sacred Heart Church, Johnstown. Please bring your own chair. A Strawberry Festival will also be held at the Johnstown Parish Hall from 2pm-5PM, on Sunday July 8th.

Rebuilding My People the Church As we continue to move forward with the five year plan for our diocese, a friendly gathering is planned for all Catholics within the Richmond Deanery who find it difficult to attend Sunday Eucharist. This gathering will be held on Sunday, June 24th at the Louisdale Lions den (just past the arena) at 7:00pm. Your voice, comments and ideas are very important to the formation of this plan, our mandate is to listen. Please pass on. There are cards”Rebuilding My People” with a prayer on the back , {on table} please take one.

“Evangelize Always and Everywhere” conference . The keynote speaker at this conference will be Bishop Brian Dunn. Fr. Patrick O'Neill from the Diocese of Antigonish and Father James Mallon from the Archdiocese of Halifax will also be presenters. All details concerning the conference and Registration are in the brochure( see table) The cost is minimal and there is no admission charge for students. We ask for your prayers that this conference may be as successful as the previous one.

St, Peter's Learning and Technology Centre
1. Weekly reading circles for children will be available at the Centre on Tuesday and Friday mornings and afternoons beginning July 3 and running until August 31. 2. A weekly children's computer camp will take place every Wednesday morning for the months of July and August at the SPLTC C@P Site 3. For adults wishing to know more about computers, e-mail, the Internet and Skype do drop in to the center C@P Site on Monday or Thursday afternoons from July 2-August 31. The L'Ardoise Men's Club has an opening for a summer student to perform Property and Grounds Maintenance work associated with L'Ardoise Parish Properties. The successful candidate will also be involved with activities related to the L'Ardoise Acadian Festival. Interested individuals must be entered in a post secondary institution or entering this fall. The job position is for 8 weeks, starting July 2, at a pay of 10.15 /hr plus vacation pay. Applications must be forwarded to L'Ardoise Men's Club Student Grant, PO Box 84, L'Ardoise NS B0E 1S0. We would like to Thank everyone that came to the funeral service of the late Lawrence Martell. The beautiful Choir and Greene's Funeral Home(Stephen), Father Lourdusamy for the beautiful service. Hugette Martell for all her help, the ones that made the wonderful lunch, gave cards, phone calls, everyone who went to visit him, Kenny Pottie and all the staff at the Strait Richmond Hospital, you will never be forgotten.
