World Wide Holy Hour Pope Francis will lead a worldwide Holy Hour on Sunday, June 2. On that date, churches all across the world will hold an hour of Eucharistic adoration at the same time, inviting the faithful to pray for the Pope’s intentions. Join the Worldwide Eucharistic Adoration on Sunday, June 2 by becoming an eVena Pilgrim! The eVena Pilgrimage for the Poor will take place throughout Nova Scotia on the Feast of Corpus Christi. Pilgrims will visit as many parishes as they can , praying and sending prayer cards to loved ones and giving alms to support a scholarship fund for students in Bolivia. KOC Bursaries: The Father Vincent de Paul Council will be offering two bursaries of two hundred dollars($200.00)each to students graduating from High School this year. Student Summer Employment Opportunity: L'Ardoise Acadian Festival has an opening for a student to work with the Festival Committee on youth-related activities of the festival. The position is for 8 weeks, commencing June 24, 2013 at a rate of pay $10.30 per hour. The successful student should be attending a post-secondary institution or enrolled in a post-secondary institution this fall. Consideration may be given to full time students who are at least 16 years of age and returning to school this fall. The successful candidate will be responsible to perform property and grounds maintenance work associated with the L'Ardoise Community Center, prepare and be involved with activities related to the L'Ardoise Acadian Festival and provide assist in Men's Club activities. We look at Mary through the inspiring lives of St.Louis de Montfort, St.Maximilian Kolbe, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta and Blessed John Paul II. The process is RPM – Read, Ponder, Meet. We'll meet at L'Ardoise Community Centre for an hour and a half each Wed. after morning Mass, for six Wednesdays beginning July 10. The cost of the book is $15.
