L'Ardoise Prayer and Faith Sharing Group Glebe House Tuesdays following Mass. Holy Hour in Holy Guardian Angels Church on Fridays 9:30-10:30 . All are Welcome
A group of us will be reciting the The Sorrowful Mysteries Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3PM in the afternoon, every Friday starting on Friday, July 13 @ Holy Guardian Angels Church. We invite you to come out and pray the Rosary as a group but if you can't, then we invite you to pray these Rosaries at home, starting at 3PM. See you there. 587-2233
St. Anne's Novena will take place after Mass each day from July 17 - July 26.
(Correction )Concerts By the Sea are holding their annual concerts this summer at the
Arichat Waterfront Stage and at the St. Peters Marina. The dates are as follows July 5, , 19 & August 2 in Arichat and July 11th, 25th and August 8th in St. Peters . The concerts are FREE and sponsored by the Dept of Recreation , Leisure & Community Relations.

L'Ardoise Acadian Festival Update: With our big celebration just weeks away there are lots of last minute preparations and of course, many tasks to be carried out on the week-end of the Festival. Perhaps you have thought about how you can help, even for a little while and we can sure use your help. There are several items on “tickets” and volunteers are needed to assist with the sale of tickets, selling of meal tickets is another area where we can use some help, setting up after various functions and small cleanup afterward, picking up dishes or other aspect of kitchen or dining room help. If you can donate an hour or two it is much appreciated and as the saying goes, many hands make for light work. Any questions about volunteering or donating time give the Center a call @ 587-2011.
Acadian Day Festival Events News
We want to make our Community as festive as possible for our 50th Anniversary. Maybe we can fly an Acadian flag as well as a Canadian one. If you wish to purchase an Acadian flag, you can let us know by calling Mary Anne Mombourquette @587-2970 or the Center @ 587-2011.
Meals involve a lot of baking and cooking. If you can cook a turkey or make dressing (we provide material) please let us know.
As in other years we need sweets, rolls , mixed vegetables, pies etc. If you can contribute in any way, please let us know. 587-2171 & 587-2011(Hall)

As part of the activities for L'Ardoise Acadian Day Festival, there will be a Merchandise and Lobster Bingo on Saturday, July 28th @ 2:00PM. Anyone wishing to donate a prize for the bingo may contact Alice Roberge @ 587-2583.
Booths: We will be putting up the booths on Monday, July 23 at 10:00 A.M. We are asking for help from anyone who wishes to donate time and effort. It takes time to put these booths up. Thank you
Official Opening: Thursday July 26 at 7:00P.M. There will be a welcome followed by a presentation slide of previous festivals and music. It would be great to have a large crowd – This is free This will be followed by some great music by Rodney MacDonald. (admission required)
Breakfast: Men who do the breakfast can use some help, especially in the dining room.
HGA/IC Parish Council A very special thank you is extended to our Secretary/Treasurer, Carol Sampson. Carol has worked diligently to assure that all Secretarial and Treasurer duties were performed with dedication and a genuine concern for the welfare of the Parish. Thank you Carol and Good Luck. Employment Opportunity: The parish is seeking the services of a part-time Secretary/Treasurer. Duties to include the preparing of the weekly bulletin, maintaining parish finance books and reports, working with the computerized Parish Friendly Solutions and performing other secretarial and treasurer functions as required.

RE: Church Furnace Funds
Due to our serious financial situation, we are launching a fundraiser in order to replace the furnace in the church. Our goal is $6,000.00. The finance and management committee has provided two options.
1. A plain white envelope marked “furnace” will be in the seats and at the back of the church to enable you to contribute to this fund. Your name, mailing address, collection envelope #, if applicable and the $$$ amount, must be put on the enclosed sheet. The envelope can then be put in the collection basket.
2. Deposit directly into an account that has been set up at the L’Ardoise Credit Union to accept donations.
Receipts will be issued at year end. Any amount that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
