Drug Recycling: A resolution was introduced by the CWL /Diocesan Council and passed by the Provincial Council to begin a Drug Recycling program in Nova Scotia. It is now before the legislature and will be voted on soon. This program will help patients who can't afford expensive drugs for cancer, etc.. We all know how some of these drugs.(in packages) which are no longer useful to someone, presently can't be given to anyone else and are destroyed. This program will allow doctors to dispense such needed drugs to patients free of charge. We are all urged to write our MLA-Michel Samson and our Premier-Darrell Dexter by saying that we support the Drug Recycling Resolution. The more people who write or e-mail, the sooner it may become a reality. Thank you from the St. John the Baptist CWL executive.
