The Four Candles are for the four Sundays of Advent. Three Violet for penance and one Rose that says the promise is almost fulfilled. The Violet Ribbon is also for penance. This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent. There will be a Jessie Tree in Holy Guardian Angels Church for anyone wishing to donate. There will also be a tree at the Post Office in L'Ardoise for anyone who wishes to make a donation there. St. Joseph's Missals are in and you can find them in the Vestry of the Church($4.00) TICKETS: Christmas Gift Basket- value $100.00- Proceeds to HGA Funeral Lunches Tickets available at Lr. L'Ardoise Post Office and Sally Ann & Marie Mombourquette. Trivia Night - L'Ardoise Legion, Saturday, Dec. 1at 8pm. Pre-register @587-2511 Eastern Counties Regional Library (no visits in December) Richmond County Parishes Pastoral Planning Meeting Sunday, December 2nd from 6PM -8PM at the St. Louis Parish Hall, Louisdale. This meeting is open to all parishioners from all parishes in the Richmond Deanery; however, a minimum of three representatives per Church is required. Fr. Donald MacGillivray, Director of Pastoral Planning for the diocese, will be present. This meeting will focus on the future of the Deanery Parishes for example: What do we need to provide pastoral services given the fewer number of priests and declining population? For more info contact 226-0383 Decorating of the Church for Christmas will be on Sunday, December 16 at 1:00PM. The cleaning of the Church will be done on Monday, December 17 @ 9:00AM. If we get lots of people donating their time, it will be over in no time. Thank you to all who participated in Operation Christmas Child. In our East Richmond churches area, there were 208 shoeboxes collected. God bless you all for your generosity. The L'Ardoise Men's Club have donated three new stoves for the Kitchen at the community Center. We very sincerely wish to thank them very much for their generosity. The stoves are wonderful Thank You The furnace fund has reached the goal that was intended. We want to thank everyone for their generous contribution. We especially want to thank Tom Mombourquette for his tireless efforts to reach this goal. Thank you The food drive has been a success again this year. Thank you to all who helped us out by donating food. We are most grateful to the Army Cadet Corps and their leaders who so generously give of their time to go from house to house.
