L'Ardoise Prayer and Faith Sharing Group Glebe House Tuesdays following Mass. Holy Hour in Holy Guardian Angels Church on Fridays 9:30-10:30 . All are Welcome
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the The Sorrowful Mysteries Rosary is recited at 3PM, every Friday in Holy Guardian Angels Church, L'Ardoise. We invite you to come out and pray the Chaplet & the Rosary as a group but if you can't, then we invite you to pray these Rosaries at home, starting at 3PM. See you there. 587-2233
Parish Council News:
PLEASE NOTE
At this weekend Masses(Aug. 25 and 26) paper and pencil will be placed in the pews ,in both churches, for nominations to fill these vacancies. These are all three year terms.
At the weekend Masses(Sept. 8 and 9) ballots will be placed in the pews, in both churches, for election of Parish Council members. We urge you to participate and elect these parishioners so that they can continue, along with the remaining parish council members, to provide services to their parish.
Earlier this year Priests for Life Canada provided us with a pro-life display and a beautiful statue of Our Blessed Mother Mary to be given away as a prize. On Wednesday, August 22, the feast of the Queenship of Mary, Father Mariadoss drew the name of Monica Sampson of Lower L'Ardoise as the winner of the statue. Congratulations to Monica and thank you to all who participated.
Employment Opportunity: The parish is seeking the services of a part-time Secretary/Treasurer. Duties to include the preparing of the weekly bulletin, maintaining parish finance books and reports, working with the computerized Parish Friendly Solutions and performing other secretarial and treasurer functions as required.

Eastern Counties Regional Library will be visiting L'Ardoise Community Centre Tuesday August 28, 3:00-6:00pm. This library service is free to the public. Everyone is welcome. For more info call 747-2597.
L'Ardoise Men's Club Breakfast – September 1, 2012, - 7 to 11. Proceeds going to the L'Ardoise Jolly Club.
Charitable Fund Raiser:
On Saturday Sept. 1st , there will be a Bake Sale and Flea Market in the L'Ardoise Community Center 8am to 4pm. All proceeds will be going to Fr. Mariadoss to feed the orphan children in India when he goes on vacation after Christmas. If anyone would like to donate baked goods it would be greatly appreciated. The L'Ardoise 45 Card Game will be starting on September 1st @ 8PM at the Community Center. The cost is $5.00+ $2.00 for the Loonie Pot. Existing Loonie Pot is $226.00. A Sincere Thank You
On behalf of Bernie and myself, Eileen, we would like to express our thanks to all the people who helped us get through our accident in May. We enjoyed having all the visitors in the Halifax and Strait Richmond hospitals, as well as in our home. Thank you to all who brought food, good wishes, cards,etc., it was much appreciated. To Father Mariadoss who visited us with Communion and his blessings. We were well looked after and it will never be forgotten. God Bless and thank you again Bernie & Eileen Sampson
