Holy Hour L'Ardoise - Holy Guardian Angels Church - Fridays 9:30–10:30, following Mass; Feast days: April 23 – St Theresa of the Cross, April 25 – St Mark the Evangelist, The Atlantic Marian Gathering presents a conference, “ Mary, Mediatrix of all Graces, Anchor us to Jesus” on May 2-6, 2012 in Sydney. Father Patrick O'Neill (who gave a Mission at HGA) will lead the weekend gathering. Pamphlets with more info are at the back of the church. May 1st begins the month of Mary, Our Blessed Mother. We hope to have the crowning of the statue at the 6:30 Mass that evening. Everyone is welcome. Knight's bursary: The (Pere) Father Vincent de Paul Council of the Knights of Columbus will be offering a $200.00 Bursary to students graduating from High School this year. Candidates must be members of one of the four Parishes of East Richmond (Holy Guardian Angels, Immaculate Conception, St. John the Baptist or St. Peters) and attending a University or Community College in the fall. Information and application forms can be found on the Richmond Academy web site. Family Square Dance – Roddie's Square Dance Society will host a family square dance Friday, April 27 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm., the United Church Hall in St. Peter's. Live Music. L'ARDOISE LEGION: We will be sponsoring our 2nd TRIVIA NIGHT on Saturday, April 28, @8PM. So far we have 19 teams with room for a few more. $40.00 for a 4 person team. This we believe to be a good fund raiser and we're trying to cut down on costs as much as possible. If any members or friends of members would like to make a donation to buy prizes we would appreciate it very much. PETERS The 8th Annual Eastwood Davidson Memorial Bursary Concert will be held on Saturday, May 12th at 7PM at the St. Peter's Lion's Hall, St. Peter's NS. Tickets are $15.00 per person and can be purchased from Verna Mann at 535-2166. Entertainment includes: Howie MacDonald, Patrick Gillis, Mac Morin, Glenn Graham, Donnie Campbell, Harold and Myles Davidson, MacKayla MacNeil and Donna Marie DeWolfe. Proceeds to graduating students at Richmond Academy. Eastern Counties Regional Library will be visiting L'Ardoise (Community Center) Tuesday, May 8 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. This library service is free to the public. For more info call 747-2597. Heavy Garbage Collection Program will be carried out in Richmond County from May 14th to June 9th, 2012. At this time you may ask him to bless your home, your car, etc. Father has almost finished Chapel Cove Road and is now proceeding west towards Rockdale. |
